No cycling, all footy

So whilst England’s been going Tour De France crazy, with a bit of Wimbledon and Silverstone thrown in too, Brazil remains utterly focussed on football and particuarly today’s massive Neymar-less semi final versus ze Germans!

I’m about to head to Copacabana and attempt to get into the FanFest, which will be carnage, but it’s gotta be done, what an atmosphere there’s gonna be! UPDATE: it’s raining in Rio, a wet beach won’t be so much fun, I’m gonna hit the bars of Lapa instead! Come on Brazil, the dream/crazy final vs Argentina is still on the cards, but I fear that Germany will be too strong and beat the depleted Brazilians. May the best team win.

Either way I’ve got to try not to celebrate too much tonight since I’m getting picked up at 7.30am to go and be on a daytime TV show, how bizarre! But great that the major broadcaster over here, Globo, are still interested in the #SambaCycle.

Anyway, here’s some stuff I’ve been up to in Rio:

Visited the Maracana

And Sugarloaf, where I saw a performing German and a random Swede

And Christ The Redeemer, in zero visibility!
